Meet Annie.
Welcome to Moments Over Perfection! My name is Annie, and I’m a fifty-year-old woman who once envisioned her life as a married woman with children. As it turns out, my life looks quite different—and I couldn’t be happier.
I’m blessed with two amazing parents, several wonderful nieces and nephews, and a close circle of friends. It has taken me decades of introspection and personal growth to accept that the life I imagined and the life I’m living don’t have to align perfectly. I am exactly where I need to be.
Moments Over Perfection was created from the belief that sometimes imperfect moments are perfect in their own way. Through sharing my adventures, creativity, travel, and approach to health, I hope to inspire joy, confidence, and the courage to step out—whether that means going solo or inviting others along for the journey.
This isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about embracing the process, making meaningful connections, and continuing to grow.
Here, I’ll share both past and present experiences, along with resources I’ve discovered along the way and my ongoing efforts to step outside my comfort zone. Think of it as a diary expressed through writing, photography, and video—a collection of real, lived moments.
I’m not a professional, nor am I polished in this chapter of my life—and that’s the point. I’m someone who spent far too much time worrying about what others might think or what might happen if I failed. Now, I’m choosing to live, to grow, and to show up as I am.
I encourage everyone to do what feels right for them and to do their own research before embarking on any new experience or adventure.

I am not what happened to me,
I am what I choose to become.
